My Columbian Tegu Pim is so well behaved, he makes the perfect reptile model. He'll allow himself to be picked up and not fuss one bit. He's pose-able like one of those bendy lizards in a toy shop. And best of all, his tongue is VERY active and slow, so it is easy to grab a pic of it ALL THE WAY OUT. You go, Pim.

Be aware, Pim is a "top 10%" lizard - he behaves better than 90% of those out there. I chose VERY carefully, and wound up also being really lucky to get a lizard this calm and gentle. Useful, given that at his full adult size, he's got the potential to be a complete monster.

he is so damn cute! I want a tegu one day my self, but the chance of getting a really docile/calm one is rather low. What i want to try doing is raising one from young.

I could try that, but two problems: I prefer NAKED reptiles (clothes are a nuisance, aren't they?) + one of us would most likely end up bleeding, probably me :(~

Though I could see him totally rocking a fedora...

Knowing Pim, he'd chew on the wires AND the batteries, then toss them violently away when he realizes they are not food stuff
