She, and the game, don't really have much of a back-story at the moment.
Basically, she is on a journey to find and replenish the lantern that lights her entire world.
The world is a great dark plain, dotted with the remains of various monuments, most of which are being destroyed by huge crystals. (the crystals are natural but the monuments are no longer being maintained.)
As far as I have written, she is only ever filled with lamp oil, most of the game involves navigating the monuments without causing her too much discomfort.
There is not much room left inside her, she is heavy and tires easily.
She has no name yet.
