“Technology has achieved great heights in this day and age.”
An old mouse in a conference room stood at a podium speaking to a class of other mice in lab coats and business suits.
“Throughout history we achieved many things, like vehicles, antidotes, and electronic communications.”
He coughed as his old age started to wreak havoc on him. He trembled as he turned the page of his report, “Our kind has learned to co exist with the taller beings, but never did we attempt to study them. They do indeed not know of us, but we know of them, and yet we know little about them due to our isolations.”
The elderly mouse looked at his audience as his glasses slipped to the brim of his nose, “But! That is now changed.”
The class chanted, “Ooo!” and “Ahhh!”
The old rodent looked back at his papers, “This project started with my grandfather and construction began just before he died. My father saw it progress, but alas he died before its completion. My Brother inherited it and eventually died as well, leaving me the legacy and pride to see it complete!”
A smile grew on his wrinkled face, “Ladies and Gentlemice, I give you, Reanne!!!”
A curtain unveils a picture of robot schematics and a female canine. The old mouse looked at it, “She is designed to be one of them! To study and create much more connections between our species. She is five feet, nine inches of steel and other stuff. She is programmed to learn, and react, and be one of them.”
The class clapped and lowered when he continued, “She has emotions and is virtually real.”
He cleared his throat, “She can eat, drink, and cry. Needs sleep, air, and shelter. She can hate, pity and love! The perfect replica.”
The class stood up and cheered, and the elderly mouse smiled. Then fell over dead.
