Well he has no issue with it, as his sense of smell is as dead as he is. So he can say he does not smell.

what about his sense of touch, taste and hearing?

No taste (he often asks people what they are eating tastes like to remember it) as he does not need to eat (tried it once, ended out having to get flushed out, no digestive tract when dead) hearing works fine whilst so does touch thanks to the magic animating him. But conversely, any sense of pain is next to non-existant. He's dead after all so no working nerve endings and the like. Holy magic though hurts like hell.
