LunarKeys HAS FREED ME FROM THE CURSE OF THE GYPSY SANDWICH AND I NOW REALIZE THAT PEOPLE LIKE METHIS TRUTH IS TERRIFYING IN IT'S SCOPE AND HARSH REALITY
Also non-rotated, hand drawn tails, for reasons. Bonus points if the title doesn't give away the character whose idle this is based on.

It did take me a few moments to make the connection, and I probably wouldn't have figured it out if you didn't mention it was meant to be based on a character instead of just being a disoriented dragoness. But, now that you point it out, yep, even without a pair of bi-chromatic wings, the resemblance is apparent!
Sadly the tails not perfect. EVERYTHING MUST BE NEAT OONT TIDY - no, uh.
It kind of extends at the end of it's loop cycle, because it's supposed to go back to the first frame and pause for a bit. But since Dizzy's animation doesn't really call for the Tail stopping at any point, we figured to just let it loop immediately instead of pausing.

It varies depending on what I'm doing. :o Like uh
The Tail here, since it's a lot larger than I'm used to doing, and since I wanted it to flow smoothly, I actually drew out in Flash CS5 first.

Than I ported it over to iDraw3, which is the program I do the actual pixels in, and added in the finer details, smoothed it out, etc.
If the tail had been smaller and more manageable, I'd have probably just done it all in iDraw >> and then put it together in Microsoft Gif Animator or something.
Hopefully that helps a little :o I tend to juggle a bunch of programs around.
