Well, since a new comic update is still not gonna be any time soon, I quickly put this together to try to explain how a comic page is done. Nothing fancy, so it's gonna be scrapped XD
STAGE 1: The fastest and least convoluted part when I make a comic. This crude and almost embarrassing doodles are simply there to remind me where everything goes. It's silly, it's bad, and sometimes certain parts don't even get to the final stages. But they fulfill their purpose well.
STAGE 2: The Lineart. I know, it's a pretty abrupt change from the previous stage, but that's how I roll. This part can either take a good amount of hours or even days O_O I know, I suck.
STAGE 3: Flat color. Actually, I skip this stage completely and fully color the piece immediately from start to bottom, but I wanted to show you how a page looks without any effects and shading.
STAGE 4: The final stage can also take a while, the shading part is of extreme importance, since it gives the page that 3D feeling that I like so much ^^. Other effects are added with Photoshop, and of course the dialogues too.
And that's it. It seems simple, but believe me, it's not. I'm sure other comic artists can relate ^^
And if you're wondering why there's no comic update, I invite you to check my journal .
