Two things to point out, BigWolf: (1) A horse is an equine, not a bovid (or cow-like critter); and (2), the title is a tad misleading. Calling it a "...Halloween Hayride" really led me to believe that this wild horse's big belly came from consuming all the hay from the wagon behind him! (I recall a similar scenario from a late 1960s issue of "Boys Life" magazine, in which 'Pedro' the burro was invited to participate in a hayride - only to be misled into pulling the wagon to a party, but not invited to it. To compensate for all the refreshments he'd missed out on at said party, he climbed into the wagon, and ate all the hay therein... rendering the bulgy burro immobile at the story's conclusion!)
