Here we have my first ever commission done by
wolfkidd in one of his streams. It was a great experience and the picture came out wonderfully.
Here we see Kira and Dylan's first meeting, when Dylan had to climb into her hand for the first time. Enjoy!

Also... bonus! Here's a little snippet from that scene, but shown from Master Sergeant Samuel Mitchell's point of view.
--
Mitchell, with his mech's optics focused on the meeting, silently watched the medic freeze up in front of his new guardian. He saw that one coming the moment he identified him. He let out a small sigh and sent a message to Kira, βThat kid is a survivor of the bombardment zone. You know the stories from that place.β
He watched as a Marine stepped forward and tried to shock some of that blind military obedience into the Guardsman. As he railed into him, the old Ranger found himself wondering what he was going to do with Maddock. If he couldn't get him out of here, then he needed to figure out how to handle him. If he even could. He was probably going to be the first human to wash out of the UTO military. What a wonderful way to hurt an already damaged person.
The UTO military wanted a mixed bag of human troops to help tune the program. Simply taking on a bunch of hardened commandos was hardly a good way to set up a program for regular soldiers. But this? This was just ridiculous. As a Guardsman he was already at a disadvantage in training, but now stack on this trauma and it was just a recipe for ruin.
He watched as Maddock pulled himself together and climbed into the wolfess's palm then watched as she fell in with the rest of the newly christened guardians. Good. The man at least had his willpower. That was a start.
He saw a few things happening in the future. He might be able to get him quietly discharged from the program without too much fuss to save him the embarrassment. If Maddock didn't want to leave then something could go wrong. Something that could get him forcibly removed and perhaps even bring attention onto him, making his problems worse.
Or, if he did everything right, he could help this man. He would pass through this program, find the help he needed with his guardian, and enter the new universe remade. Talk about a lofty goal.
He smirked.
He loved a challenge.

I won't joke about being first, 'cause I doubt it'll happen, but.. looks great! Really helps augment what I was imagining at that point in the story; a bit of art to go with words, or a bit of words to go with art makes for an excellent combination.
That perspective, having the arm and hand curl up closer to the camera... Dang. (Still got a lot to learn regarding how to do this type of stuff)
Nice tidbit of writing from a different angle, too. I sort-of figured that was Sam's perspective once I got further into the story, but it's neat to hear it for sure :)

I fully agree with the art and words. If I had artistic talent, each of my stories and updates would come with art. Being able to draw what I write would be the most wonderful thing for me.
And it is indeed a fantastic perspective. He really nailed the scale of it. So great!
And yes, Sam. I do believe you know the essence of that character, which does help you understand. But at this point it is clear what his role in the story is. :)

If I found the right story... goodness that one writes A LOT! Massive updates. Incredible.
Although it looks it was given a sort of end less than a year ago, according to the description: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12304223/

Thank you, glad you enjoy it.
As for the Dylan focus... from the start it was established that Dylan's trauma would be a big factor in the series. For the sake of story it's necessary to let the reader in on the workings of his mind, so a fair bit of focus falls onto him. However, though don't quote me on this as I only follow what feels right as a storyteller, once his problems become less apparent then perhaps there can be more focus on Kira.
As for where I'll take it... hopefully somewhere that will let this universe just keep growing.

A lovely first commission. The angle shows off Kira's size very well and the snippet you chose for the description fits perfectly.
I'm glad you went up and got a commission after all--and in a stream, no less. I look forward to seeing what other ideas you decide to have put to picture!

Aye I liked the snippet idea. Figured if I'm gonna get art I may as well treat my readers to a little something extra as well, may it be a brief insight into the character that wasn't the POV or an observer of the situation.
And I'm glad I got it too. I was anxious as all hell but it was so worth it. I'm still riding high on the excitement from this.
