I saw it in a gaming magazine a few years ago, but other than that I've never seen it advertised.
I guess I've always loved the idea of exploring everyday places at a miniscule size, so it was just something I immediately liked. :3
If you've ever seen robot chicken, the guy who did the title theme for that also did a few songs for Mushroom Men.
