Northway Games made an absolutely stunning game, Deep Under The Sky, and is doing something amazing with it. They're doing what they call Art to Play.

What that means is that you can exchange fan creations for the game! This is great for those who want to try it but can't afford to otherwise (legally) obtain a copy.

There are some guidelines (a big one being you need to spend at least 30 minutes working on it) and more details can be found here.
