I heard from somewhere in the tumblr where there's people fappin to guns concept, interesting.
As for the knee pads, examples like yf 703 knee pad, military equipment, it's actually very comfy and does not disrupt ROM and circulation too much. I can understand the build-up heat though. From a Discovery documentary about an experiment performed on soldiers' endurance training on heat(along with others like cold weather, sleep deprivation and stamina), they can take 50'C accumulated heat within the body for about 3 hours and serious water loss and still be able to perform their tasks that requires great agility and sharp decisive mind consistently great. So I think a knee cap won't matter much along with the full equipment :P
(But still the OCD though, lol xP)

Yea. Well, it's kind of a two sided sword. That's a whole lot of effort needed for photo-realistic style onto every single detail and I can't remember all that sum in one painting. That means it will take me whole lot longer time than other styles to be able to imagine and paint without references. However, I think it's worth the time and effort as I can see some results already.
