indigoangelcat has a lovely five-tailed kitsune named BBQ. He's a bit of a pyro, but always seems gleefully good-natured and playful in her pictures. She's also only drawn him chibified. At AC 2008, I got to wondering what he'd look like in full-fledged kitsune form. (I do this sort of thing at conventions. Something to do with acute art over-exposure.)

Turns out BBQ stays in chibi form because he finds life more agreeable from a child's point of view - but threaten his friends, and you get the full-blown fiery treatment!


Microns of sketchbook paper, colored in PhotoShop. I opted for simple colors and background in this one - seemed to be a case of "less is more". (Didn't like the cell-shading, though, so I softened it considerably.)
