The plot of one of the chapters of my upcoming GMD fanfiction "The Baker Street Family Chronicles" (entitled "Controversy") involves popular mousician Michael Jacksonville getting into hot water with the citizens of Mouse London when malicious (but false!) rumors about instances of him "engaging in inappropriate behavior with mouselings" (I won't say what, nor is it explicitly stated in the chapter) begin to spread. At the beginning of the chapter, Mr. John Lawrence, the president of the newspaper company that prints The Illustrated London Mouse, launches his plan to ruin Michael's career by further spreading the rumors that he himself has started--but Ratigan (who works at the press) tries vainly to convince his boss that what he is doing is wrong.
