Here is another attempt at sheep, this time a female. I noticed in my last drawing that the sheep had it's longer fur all the way down to its limbs. Reexamining I don't think that would be accurate. Sheep don't have their long fur on their limbs, so I tried this one without. Looks better... though I might try to bring down the long fur to the elbows/knees next time. See how that looks.
The face was difficult. Trying to make it look like a sheep without it looking creepy... Which is harder than one might think. I feel I achieved a balance of realistic and cute, at least for her face.

Bringing the fur down to the elbows/knees would be good, as you've said. Sheep are one of those things that are cute in real life but hard to anthropomorphize. Especially the wooly kind, it's hard to implement the fleece and not have it look a little silly. I find wild sheep to be easier in that regard, especially since a lot of them just have the fur. I'd say the face hits the intended mark. It's adequately and authentically sheepy...if you're into that.
Fun fact about the furry fandom, I have an acquaintance who changed his fursona from a slutty pink fox to a sheep and many of his friends turned on him for no longer being sexy. At first I didn't believe him then I actually saw it happen. Incontrovertible proof that no matter how much credit you give these people, it's still probably too much.
