The transformation artwork made me take a fresh look at Skrath, if it would be possible to put clothes on that body, to do good with those super-powers instead of harm, and eventually led to the creation of this character.
Enter Skesh, twin brother of Skrath. He can't help being a mutant wingless bat, but he can at least try to be respectable. His spines are thin because he plucks them out before they get overgrown. Rather than unleashing his super-powers in combat (which are every bit as unstable as Skrath's) he wields crescent blades, ancient relics from a long-lost civilization knowledgeable in the properties of aura. The blade surfaces are made of laminus, a strange alloy that channels the aura of whoever holds them through the metal. In the hands of someone with super-powers like Skesh, they are completely devestating. As for his relationship with his maniac brother, there isn't one: they are mortal enemies and attack each other on sight! (From 2005.)
