Kinda curious as to why FA doesn't have Khajiit as a species option. =w=
My boyfriend, Extremelictor, has gotten me seriously addicted to Skyrim and the whole Elder Scrolls universe in general. He proposed a bit of an art challenge for him and I, as well as some of our other friends. Said challenge involved creating a character by hand (rather than in-game) and come up with at least a little bit of a backstory for them. So, here goes...
Ashira, a Suthay-Raht Khajiit, was born in a small village found on the island of Solstheim in Morrowind. Growing up, Ashira grew to understand quickly that her family couldn't afford all the same luxuries as others might, nearly ending up on the streets a few times. But, despite this, her family always stuck together, even when outsiders tried to tear them apart. The little ashen-furred Khajjit girl, learned the importance of having someone you could rely on, and became very family oriented. In a village that was inhabited by Dunmer, it was a little difficult to make friends, but, Ashira didn't mind, because the only people that mattered to her was her parents. As she grew older, Ashira decided that she wanted to be able to help her family in getting a better life. After all, living on an island of ash wasn't exactly their idea of a good lifestyle.
Growing up, Ashira had always been pretty good at sneaking around, making hardly any sound, sometimes scaring people with how silent she was. With this skill, she took up the art of thievery, starting off by traveling to other villages on the island, and snatching up whatever she could. Through this, she managed to save up enough money to get herself out of Solstheim, and to the Thieves Guild in Skyrim. During her time there, the people she met there became like a second family to her. But of course, Ashira could never forget her birth family. A good chunk of what she earned, was always sent back home to them. They'd send her letters, telling her just how proud of her they were, and that they appreciated what she was doing for them. A few times, after Ashira had bought a home in Riften (she liked being close to the guild, and she had grown to love the city itself), the Khajiit girl asked her family to move to Skyrim, to come live in her home where they could live a comfortable life. They declined, saying that they had grown accustomed to living in Solstheim, but that they would be happy to visit, which they do frequently, when Ashira doesn't decide to come visit them of course, after all, she does still appreciate the land she grew up in. Most of her days currently consist of taking jobs for the Thieves Guild, she thoroughly enjoys her work, almost moreso than the pay she receives from it.
Extra:
- Her markings and parts of her body-structure are actually based off of a Serval.
- She is missing most of her tail due to an incident where she stole from the wrong person and they decided that rather than get her arrested, they'd just hack off most of her tail.
- Ashira is very sensitive about the topic of her tail and really doesn't like talking about it.
- She enjoys cat puns.
- She enjoys cat puns so much that she likes to taunt her enemies with them. She likes seeing their confused faces.
- For some reason, she can't stand Argonians, even though she's hardly met any.
- Argonians make her want to use lizard puns though, however, she's not quite as clever with those.
- She thinks that ash is much prettier than snow or rain.
- She used to cut holes in her hood for her ears to fit through whenever she got a new one, now she just pays someone to make her custom hoods that already have the holes so that she doesn't have to do it herself.
- Family means more to her than anyone else ever could. You mess with her family, whether it be her biological family, or her Thieves Guild friends, she will fuck you up.
