Rumiir of his Dragon character Rumiir and Arun in a small skirmish.
We both liked the last scene of these two so much that we decided to take it a step further this time around, and chucked the two straight into some combat! The armor was taken from the sketch I did for sidecord a little while ago, found here! I had to redesign a few things about the armor since the sketch I did of it earlier was just, well, a sketch, and it needed some tweaking to be totally functional (and cool looking). Added some articulation to the ankles, more protection onto Rumiir's flanks, darkened Rumiir's armor to match Arun's more, etc etc. I think it came out pretty well!
Some might be wondering why Arun isn't wearing her normal armor. Well that's because the idea for the piece was that these two were out on a patrol mission, but the scene I ended up making came out as mostly dense jungle. Well the ground in a jungle is kinda soft and loamy, so Arun's heavy armor wouldn't function so well, seeing as it weighs a little over a metric tonne, and putting that much weight on two small points on wet soil leads to a bad time. So I crafted her some light armor to wear for the occasion! It's not her favorite, but it beats sinking waste deep into the dirt.

Daw, thank you :D I really enjoy doing these kinds of scenes, so it means a lot that you like em so much! I'm always a little disappointed when these get less attention that my smut pieces, but hey, I enjoy making them, and the commissioner likes em too, so I really can't complain :P
the background is really well thought out with the fungi and mushrooms, and the image is very dynamic with you doing a spinning slash and him providing cover fire(heh, I made a funny!). I also do like the armor and how you handled the energy attacks, the lightning and flame.
Are some of the critters inspired by zerglings? for some reason the ones with arm blades remind me of them:)
Definitely grabbed some inspiration from Zerg and Tyranid creatures on those little guys, but uts hard to make alien critters and not! :P
And thank you! I had a lot of fun with the background, though looking back at it I wish I'd left room for some obvious sci-fi elements in the background. Like maybe a ship in the sky or a metal wall or bunker or turret or something. Ah well.
