The Skopek Class Recon Cruiser is a strategic recon design created for use by the MACOs and is meant to probe enemy territories. Admiral James T. Kirk had given his own seal of approval for such a vessel to be developed and eventually saw two of these craft in action when he was demoted back to Captain. During the Dominion War, a number of these ships gathered intel on enemy fleet movements. The two smaller craft (Snoop Class Light Scouts) docked to the aft are precursors to what became known as runabouts.
