Yeah, im not a fan of pugs because I got bit by one when I was little so that means im a werepug... I wanted my fursona to be who I am as an animal. I didn't just want a pug as a sona so I took one of my favorite breeds with a similar color scheme which was a German Shepherd dog. Another reason for not wanting a pug sona is because I can't draw that short of a nose, it just doesnt look right lol.
