Subject matter: Kitsune
Materia Artistica: Brush pens
Reffernces: None
Notes: mostly freehanded in the brush pens and inspired by my one of my favourtie art forms. this si done in the sdtyle of the prints i have seen from Tokogawa era and Meji restoration era scrolls. Originally an exclusively male art form ikeban eventually came to the masses and lost it's earlier buddhist religious overtones. Ikebana orignally began as flower offerings to Buddha on the temple altars and became an art form later when organized by Ikenobo which is the oldest continuious school of ikebana. it has many many schools now focusing on many aspects of the art from it's traditional religious meanings and spirtual tone to making great abstractions with flowers and man made materials where the flowers become archetecture. and everything else in between
