I have no idea if that's the correct term for it. XD It's just a wild horse role play and you can create herds and breed and all that. I'm happy to hear PAW is still active! I didn't think it'd make it this long, especially since the maintenance on it can be so high (or at least how I was running things it was x_x )... I keep hovering around proboards looking for possible add-ons that would make RPs like PAW more convenient. There's a plugin in the making that'll allow leveling up (via postcounts) and each level you can point points into stats; stats that would be properly displayed on your miniprofile. It included mana and HP as well, the HP bar something you can lower during your posting. ugh. I want it so badly but the creator doesn't seem to have the time to finish it. I have yet to find a code for a forum that is its equal, it's incredibly frustrating xD

To be honest, I absolutely suck at the maintanence. XD I'm constantly forgetting stuff. But I'm managing, anyway. It helps that it's just a few active members now, and most of the role playing happens on the weekends, and there's currently little to no fighting. I expect that once that starts up again, I'll have a lot more trouble, but ah well.

Assuming you have some of the members from previously, they'll be able to instruct anyone new about how fighting works before it devolves into something a moderator/you have to chat with them about. I am tempted to get on quickly to my Admin account because apparently people are still contacting the admin account. According to Proboards I have like 16 "messages" from there specifically on the Admin account. I should probably change its display name to "TALK WITH MODDOG" or something xD

Strange. It might have been the plugin itself being shit. Some of them were badly coded or required other plugins. This particular one requires (when its done) to download the "experience gaining/level up" code they have, then you can add on the stats. It'd be really nice though since one big problem I had with PAW was how I made the stats. Given a second chance, I wouldn't have made intimidation and squirming out of pins both be the same stat. That was silly of me.

I was thinking about opening a South American Warriors/Cat roleplay down the line and when I get opportunities, I write information down for it. The problem is that it's so much writing already I doubt too many people would be willing to read it all to play. So I get the feeling I won't be opening a new roleplay for a long long time while I try to figure out shortening explanations :T (or a system that's so streamline it doesn't need as much explaining)

Yeah, pretty much all of the active members are the members that were around when you were still admin. XD Most active players now are me, Baneth, Alibaster's player (Alibaster himself died) and Misty's player (Misty herself walked off). We've had a few new members come in, though one I had to ban because they would not listen, and then another just hasn't started posting. I should try advertising more. XD

And oh, really? I figured there might be some confusion with that, so I created a new tab on the tab thingie which says to 'Ask ModDog if you have a question' or something like that, but apparently that's not working. XP Sorry!

And the plugin I had been trying to download at the time was actually that tab plugin PAW's got. So I think it is just my computer being retarded. XD As for that plugin, yeah, that'd be really neat. I've been thinking about splitting ability with intimidation and escaping pins, but then I just get lazy, so. XD Ah well.

Oh my gosh, South America would be amazing. South America has some of the best animals, I swear. I can't speak for other people, but I can say that if you started a role play that takes place in South America, I would join it in a heartbeat. XD

Well for all I know the messages are from current members just casually asking about my day or booing me for leaving uwu There are a few points in the How To's where it says something alone the lines of "And I (ADMIN) will blah blah blah" so new players may assume I am still active.

I'd say that it could be useful to split the two. But I always worried that it'd be more confusing. The best thing to do is always to be as least confusing as possible. You can always test out what people think in the Colosseum.

Well thank you ^^ I love South America's nature too *_* and culture. I mean you'd be playing as small cats but I'd allow for Margays, Ocelots, etc... One of the other things that popped up in my head due to PAW was the amount of species. I think it's stupid that players should feel restricted to one species but I did notice that once breeding had caught on in PAW, a lot of characters that didn't have very many in their species were swiftly abandoned for creatures that COULD breed with a lot more mate options in their species. Obviously everyone being cats solves that... but I am concerned that it's restrictive too... differing species is always fun. Especially when you're in the Amazon @_@

Yeah, it was Ashur. XD I'm horrible. And yeah, it was really frustrating. They kept on making IC posts when they weren't accepted so I had to keep deleting them and telling them, "Hey, you're not accepted yet." Then I realized that they had made a leopard when the leopard counter was down, so I told them they'd have to make a new character because leopards won't be accepted until the counter goes up. They ignored me again and made another IC post. It wasn't fun. XD

And yeah, it seems everyone on PAW goes for either lions or leopards. The Painted Army isn't all that active (I actually feel bad for killing so many... I scared everyone away from playing a dog D: ) and Barrens really isn't active. I've been trying to think of ways to fix all that. Because diversity is awesome, and people need to branch out. XD Hopefully something like that wouldn't happen with a South American role play.

Yeah :U I wish I could have found evidence that the hyenas were capable of breeding together, I didn't want to make something too unrealistic.. although maybe that was a poor choice on my part. I certainly tried otherwise once I introduced the vultures x3; How breeding continues is of course up to you. Maybe the hyenas should all be allowed to breed, the cheetahs capable of breeding too with the other felines and the jackals with the African wild dogs. It could also be, whether they realize it or not, that they're preferring the lions for their stats. While the dogs are fast, they're pretty weak in battle and are little more than paper when they're outnumbered.

I wouldn't feel bad about killing them off though xD; A lot of their deaths were "I'm tired of this character" or the dogs being in small groups or pairs opposed to sticking together. Like I recall there was a case of two dogs and a puppy forced to defend against a very imposing group of lions xD; ASHUR IS JUST A BETTER GENERAL D8

Yeah... though I dunno. I don't want the role play to get too unrealistic, but I do know that if I were to allow unnatural hybrids like that, then people would probably jump on it. XD But then it'd probably be another case of, "Hey, we can play herbivores now! ... Okay, tired of this character after two days, let's kill it off." Ahhh, torn. Though I'm now picturing a cheetah and a lion couple and oh my god, the size difference would just be... XD

Yeah, Ashur always travels in numbers even when he doesn't really need to. XD And oh man, I remember that. He came in with like, his whole pride and then there's just two dogs and I'm like, "Damn, half of us could've stayed home."

Especially Misty xD I remember her asking if there could be a leopard x brown hyena hybrid ;B I can say it'd be WAY WAAAY harder to keep track of species counters, specifically for the solitary animals, if there's a bunch of hybrids. I was torn while owning the site as well. Since, to me, the fact that a couple might not be able to have children could be a very huge plot point to those characters. Just as much as a homosexual character can't (or won't) have children either. So there's pros and cons either way uwu

I don't know if you've added any new attributes but another thing you could do to encourage people towards certain specifies is make very specifies specific attributes. And make all the new ones species you wish were getting more attention. Like the dogs. Or possibly making the speed stat mean something else too. For the warriors roleplay I've been designing I've decided that when players are moving to new locations they have to have a 20 minute wait inbetween posts. Players with higher speed can post sooner and thus literally outpace anyone chasing them. You could say that animals with a higher speed (or a speed that's their highest stat, therefore excluding certain high-statted lion kings) are able to make an extra roll, or two speed rolls, during fights.

Just got onto my Admin account there. There was no actual messages, just the forum telling me that 19 new accounts existed. So no one has been confusing who is in charge!

Well I do know if I allow unnatural hybrids like that, I'll still have limits. No hyena/feline hybrids. XD And yeah, I'm already having a tough time keeping track of counters, but I do go through the Overlooks about once a week or so. Whether or not I actually change the counter the moment I realize something's changed, though... XD I'm just lazy.

And I've actually been thinking about doing that! Making species specific attributes. Male lions already have that one attribute for them, 'Armored,' so I figured that it'd only be fair to make some more for others. I'm just been thinking about what sorts of stats each species could have. I've also been thinking about making it so that people have to wait about twenty minutes before traveling through each area. I could imagine it could get annoying a times, but at the same time... well, example. When Ashur came out and attacked Alibaster, they were way off in Lushlands. Abeni and Nuru were both in Softwood. But the moment Ashur attacked Alibaster, his player had Abeni and Nuru travel across the entire map in like, two minutes to try and defend Alibaster. Abeni couldn't even cross the river at first, so instead she just went around it, through Barrens territory, in record time. It was really frustrating. For me. XD Yeah, I killed somebody's character and I'm complaining about how quickly people came to his defense. I'm terrible.

Keeping track of the deaths really helped me keep track of the counters. It meant I could just work backwards if I felt I lost track. But yeah. It'd be harder if there were hybrids everywhere.... hm. You could work it into the story or something. Like humans come along and put something in the water specifically to test out genetics. The animals themselves roleplaying if they agree or disagree with the new breeding discovery.

Yeah. It was pointed out by my fiance (who played Imakandi) that Misty's leopard would just quickly post in numerous spots to immediately cross the map to do something. Technically Alibaster could have still attempted to have Abeni and Nuru assist simply by making Alibaster wait to reply long enough for the two to appear but yeah oAo I do feel bad for Alibaster since Ambergris was supposed to be there fighting with him uwu I actually do miss my Ambergris but at least her and Alibaster are together in the afterlife!

Half of the fun of a survival game is the feeling of 'its out of my reach' and relying on others. Ashur is very strong on his own but if he was a leopard all by himself, he'd likely have been killed a long time ago by the dogs. So I don't think its terrible to feel bad that someone runs like the Flash across the map. It means that something that logically should have been far away and hard to get was easily reached :T

Hmmm.... that could work. I'm still a little hesitant, not just 'cause I would like for things to remain realistic, but also because I know that if I allow for some unnatural hybrids, somebody's gonna be like, "You should allow this one, too!" And that could be annoying. XD But perhaps...

And yeah, she did. But that character never really did anything so to be honest, I just didn't pay her any mind. XD And that's a good point. Ah well. It obviously didn't really help anyway, so... yeah. XD And yeah, Alibaster and Ambergris are together now. Meanwhile, Abeni has turned into a psycho bitch and is plotting to kill pretty much everyone as revenge and Anan's off being an emo kid and is probably gonna get a caracal girlfriend soon... yeah, their cubs turned out great. XD

By the way, just out of curiosity, would you happen to still have a file of the map with layers? 'Cause I've been thinking of adding some new territories. Just very, very small territories around the main map that solitary animals could fight for to claim. I'd make it into a sort of mini-game. Like a leopard or somebody starts marking the borders, and then I throw a few NPC's at them and if they defend the territory long enough, then it's theirs, but anyone else can come in and challenge them again. I'm not sure how it'd work out, but the idea seems fun, anyway.

Yeah :T And if you start allowing hybrids it's going to be iffy going back to realism if you change your mind. Luckily there's a few other options for things to do, such as that land-conquering idea you've got, so you can have plenty of time to think about hybrids. I think the land-claiming sounds cool ovo If I could suggest some strange landscapes (feel free to ignore me) I'd suggest googling Namibian Desert Ruins. It's a mining town abandoned and now covered in sand. Not normal leopard territory but they can climb all over houses.

well no, she didn't go that far by any means XDD wow. I was intending her to eventually attack the hyenas, tricking them into separation and then attempting to consume them but I didn't have the heart to hurt what few hyenas there were ;w; I wish I could have made her more evil but I can't say I didn't enjoy what she became anyways xD Her and Ajunta storming through the Painted Army lands together... and her being banished by Ashur are roleplay moments I'm happy to remember forever <:

The file doesn't have the shadows to separate one place from another in its layers (AKA the individual images that show up on each thread, showing where you are on the map), it's just straight up the map. :TTT I could have sworn I kept those files in there but apparently not. After you finish the map, if you want me to redo the shadows for the separate regions just say so and I will.

If I might suggest something, since you're considering that solitary mini-game for conquering lands... if conquering new lands and who owns what changing hands turns into a thing then I highly suggest taking the dotted lines off of the map. Otherwise your map's images may become outdated. Although this only applies to factions taking up new lands since I never put dotted lines for what is owned by no one/solitary creatures.

Ambergris was just amazing. I loved her. XD But yeah, Abeni's been banging everyone lately. She had her cubs, and then immediately went for Musoke. She's actually the new leader of Clapperclaw. :D
