Kitsuon are an open species and are a subspecies of Kitsune. Their name comes from a combination of Kitsune and Demon.
Kitsuon are true pranksters and often get themselves into trouble. Unlike their relatives, they only sport two tails rather than the traditional nine.
The fire on their bodies if fueled by their souls and souls around them (to a much lesser extent). This causes those around one to feel a chill despite how hot the area might be. The fire burns cold, just like their blood. Touch one and you'll notice that their body feels corpse-like.
The flames burn the same color as their inner soul, or rather true demon form. Removing the enchanted tags from one's tail will cause the inner demon to escape. This demon is at its full power and is massive in size. In this state it is consumed by rage and a lust for destruction. Luckily, removing the tags are incredibly difficult.
Kitsuon often keep an eye covered by a tuft of hair. Rather than there being a normal iris, there is a pentagram. The Kitsuon is able to activate it when it locks eyes with someone else. Once activated it gains a minor possession over the captive. However in its normal form, it lacks the ability to make the captive go against its will. Canceling inhibitions is a fairly easy feat though. The pentagram appears in either eye or very rarely none or both.
