Commission for:
Dusty-Waber
This is one of my many really really...super-duper overdue commissions that I've been working on. [Man I hate work.] Anyways...
This is him, when he was still a raccoon character, as a white mage. Or cleric. Of course I had to give him a hammer, and glowey hands. he's supposed to be standing in front of a fireplace in an RPG esque tavern.
Some of the colors were eaten in the scan, but i was pretty pleased with it.
This is the submission in his gallery. Feel free to tell him how much you love it there too. :B Iffin you would be so kind.

The character design is neat, and the colors are pleasing and consistent throughout the picture. I also really like the background and the way the wood planks come out like that. I think his right hand would cast a lot more light than it shows here though. You did a great job on this overall.
The lighting influences were too much of an afterthought, I didn't think ahead enough to do them correctly. D: That's one of the sucky things about traditional media, is it's hard to go back and fix things. ^^;;
But yes, the wood planks thing was one of the main ideas behind the picture. I got the idea from these illustrations from a book series I read before. The background was stark white, and there were pieces of the background around the characters, and they just sort of ended floating in space. :3
Thanks so much. :B 8hugs*
