i know you always wanted art from me and i am so sorry that i never got around to doing any for you. pretending you can see this somehow eases the regret i have for being too late. i wish we could have met before you left. it was in my plans but we were so far away. i know we would have really enjoyed each other's company and you would have wanted to meet all of my snakes, and you probably would have gotten to take one with you when you went back home. thank you for offering to give me one of sheba's puppies if she ever had any because you knew i would have liked one. you were not perfect, as none of us are, but you were always there for anyone that needed a friend to talk to. your outgoing outlook on life was always something to admire. the last time i talked to you, you were sick and very scared. i hope that you felt peaceful and brave and ready for anything today. in your last photo from yesterday you looked so happy, so i think that might be true.
