It was only after those distinctive back spines erupted, first as narrow quills, that I finally realized what I was turning into. Though I wasn't so happy when it became difficult to keep my clothes on: there was no way I could wear a shirt with those spines, and I could only keep my shorts on my thinner body with a belt. To make up for my lack of attire, I started wearing one of those metal bead necklaces that were so popular in the late 90s (I never got over them). Notice how far up my arm I have to put my watch, from how thin it's become. (From 2005)
