I've been in the mood of drawing something Tales of-related, probably because of me replaying Tales of Vesperia, hehe~
This was more of an experiment than anything, trying to only use lighting and no shading (except, the 3 little shades on the coat and fur~), but it was super fun! A great way to get back to my usual speed, since I've been awfuly slow lately in all this art business!
So here we have a very mad Asbie, with a blue-themed Abyssion, kicking some oily shadow-ish monster's butt, with Guardian Field x3 Good thing that not only hits enemies, but heals the user as well! My third all-time favorite arte from the franchise.
Clothes were kinda based on Asbel Lhant's, and maybe a bit of Luke, from ToA, although I didn't use any ref for 'em, all done by myself

Well the story of the game is ok to good, what ruins it is a part of the gameplay, like for example they level-cap the previous party, forcing the player to use monsters instead, no world map, and very little and repetitive quests.
As I said, it's a good game, but a pretty bad Tales of.

Really good? That's kind of subjective, haha! Also it depends on which consoles you have~ But both Vesperia and Graces f are musts. Xillia gets close to average, but Xillia 2 is definitely one of my favorites, if you can go through the scenario recicle. I absolutely recomment to avoid xbox 360's version of Tales of Vesperia, since it really is incomplete compared to PS3's (Although this one's just in japanese, I still recommend to play this version, you have plenty of gamefaq's that can help you).
In order, I'd suggest getting Graces f first, it's the most "beginner friendly" to the franchise, even if you played Symphonia (You also have an HD version with both Symphonias for the PS3, with dual audio as well!), then both Xillias, and if you feel brave, Vesperia in japanese.
You also have 2 Tales of for the PS vita, Innocence R (Which is Japanese only for now), and Hearts R which we'll get this november in both America and Europe, again with dual audio.
Finally, Zestiria will be launched somewhere next year, and that game looks really damn good! I can't wait for it!

Pfff, 1000? That's barely nothing xD I have Souhajin with like 4000, Ghost Wolf with like 3000 and I don't want to tell how many times I've used the dragon Swarm-Shining Fang-Shining dragon Swarm combo
But I guess you played it on the 360? That's kind of a shame, you should get the PS3 version, the 360 one kinda sucks compared, and it's not just because you can use Flynn
