The purpose of the spy's disguise (the cutout mask) is to fool the other team into thinking he's one of them. The idea is that he can infiltrate their team and backstab them. By calling for a medic, he's wanting the enemy medic to come to him. But his own team's medic comes to him as well and starts healing him. This gives away the fact that he's a spy to the enemy medic.

Happens quite often in game.

I don't think I encountered a situation like that. There were two instances that I assisted in backstabing one of my own teammates with an enemy spy... >_>;

I do that too. It happens to the best of Medics. But I have also seen really bad Medics healing a spy on their own team who's trying to infiltrate enemy lines.

I give Spies a quick zap, just to get them into OverHeal land, but that's only when there's no enemies around.
