Haruko and Miyako are twin fox spirits that protect a hidden isolated shrine from outsiders and evil spirits.
Haruko, the light furred fox with the dark mask, is the trickster of the two. She is the one to carry out punishment to those that endanger the shrine or her sister. Her tricks are meant to teach a lesson, no matter how cold and mean they can be.
Miyako, the dark furred fox with the light mask, is the kinder sister. She often aids those who come to the shrine, offering shelter and protection to weary travelers.
