I did a challenge thing where I went up on these fifty foot telephone poles and walked out onto a wire and held myself up with another one about four feet above it. Another one was just a straight pole that you had to leap 4 feet from onto a trapeze and grab onto it.
Yes I was latched safely to a catch-system or whatever.
AND GOD YES my heart was beating the entire damned time. I was shaky as hell when I got down from both of them. Yeesh now I know where adrenaline junkies get their kick from.

Heights scare me too honestly. I've managed to still do my job when it requires a fix in the rafter beams from JLG (about 4 to 5 stories up because the factory is just HUGE). I sweat constantly so bad it's nasty, but the shakes went away after a few dozen hours. A really good catch system I found make small the difference. I have a super nice harness I bought for' myself instead of using the factory issued ones. It's so tough, and wraps me all over like a big hug, very oddly comforting. Haha, I joke that it,a like those compression vests for dogs with anxiety.
