Fun fact: The Sacramento Public Library has animal mascots. Meet Otterby Reading, Inspector Fox, and Dr. Owlson. No, I didn't design them, but I've been slowly shifting Otterby's appearance to be more otterlike and less like a chipmunk. Unfortunately this time I accidentally made him look like a bear. Then I added whiskers. Then everyone started calling him a squirrel.
By the way this is chalk pastel on, you guessed it, a 6 foot by ~4.75 foot sidewalk panel. It took about 11 hours, and there were people walking by all weekend and it was hot and uncomfortable but a whole lot of fun.
