Cheesy goodness from
!
This is an easy one to bring to a party. It's basically a puffed pastry filled with warm, soft brie cheese. When raspberry sauce is added, it combines creamy and flaky, sweet, salty and tangy.
To prepare:
Take a puffed pastry. You can either look up the recipe online for homemade puffed pastry, or you can by a Pepperidge Farm frozen puffed pastry sheet.
Roll out the puffed pastry, then take a whole wheel of Brie Cheese and place it in the center.
Drizzle some honey and sprinkle some sliced almonds over the cheese.
Fold the edges of the puffed pastry over and pinch the edges closed, enclosing cheese in the pastry. Bake at 350 until golden Brown.
Raspberry Sauce.
Thaw out a package of frozen raspberries.
Use a colander to separate the juice from the berries into a small saucepan. Heat over low heat until hot, but not boiling.
Take about 1.5 TBSP of corn starch, dilute it in a little water. Add to the saucepan and stir until thick. Add a little lemon juice if the sauce is too sweet.
Drizzle the sauce over the baked brie and sprinkle raspberries and sliced almonds. It will be consumed quickly by hungry furs!
I decided to post this in place of the previous one because this one really turned out so well. Thank you
dither for taking the photo.
