What chords did you use?

E A D G and C.... pretty much the only chords I know XD. Why?

Taking this one to my band for my guitarist to make sound much better.

I also play guitar I own 5 guitars but I'm still re learning and I want to do what you are doing playing in a band and writing songs see I don't know how to do that

I rarely even write down the chords to the songs I write (I think this was one of the only ones that I did because I turned it in for a contest. It lost XD). I basically write the lyrics first, with a melody in mind, and then structure the rest of the song around it. Course, I'm a drummer first and foremost lol. I doubt if the band takes to any of my songs.

Awesome! Best way to start is by learning covers. I think it's the best thing for a band to start out doing as well.

I wish I had learned scales when I learned guitar. My teacher mainly taught us chords and it was, you guessed it, E A D G and C... oh, Em was thrown in somewhere lol ;)
