It should come as no surprise that this snake is as a fat as he is, its very rare that meals this large come across in the desert, even more so ones that are so easy to hunt and swallow whole!
His prey mustn't have been too prepared for dealing with the desert or its inhabitants, not that this snake would complain, an easy filling meal for him!
I'm sure after a while he'll let them go after he's had his fill...for now they better get cozy, they're in for a long night. Better yet he's saved them from the bitter chills of the night.
