After a month of anxious nail-biting through the U.S. Postage system, I finally owe
Maxi-Rover the tablet I drew this on. (Hugs) You absolute gorgeous mutt, you! Thanks immensely! I don't know if this is your fashion sense, but it's much more tasteful than mine, which is certainly accurate. Ahh, so much color harmony to fuck with... I think my color palettes these days can best be described as "petit fours icing." XD
(Seriously, Serene, I don't know what possessed you to be so awesome. Once I fix a couple of software fuckables that are keeping me from setting pressure to pen size on this, I aim to try inking some of those doodles I did of... you saw three of them, at least X3)

Oh, my digital work is all color and detail at heart. I've never gotten used to the lack of paper texture and inkflow, sketching on this is a clumsy process... Linework is, for me, strictly a traditional game. You know those beds they have in schmancy hotels that let you adjust the angle and incline of every part of the mattress? From the instant you touch the remote, every adjustment you make is just barely not the right one, and you don't fall asleep for two hours. On a normal mattress, you climb in, it stays where it is, and in five minutes, your body's cool with it. I prefer the latter with my drawing materials. Ink is for a committed relationship with your art - but there's something to be said about that feeling of staying where you put it!
I assure you, the moving-ness still buzzes through my head. But like the guy said about "Rent" vs. "La Boheme" - "You can't make an audience cry at the end anymore and still look edgy and fresh. And we called the Victorians emotionally repressed!" The media's still run by straight guys. Crying is given a weight and overimportance it... doesn't really need. When you cry, it's important. That's all that should matter. It's heavy and important and it's coming out of your soul. But one tear somehow has the power to turn everything maudlin in today's world...

hahaha. What a wild freakin ride, holy smokes! The post office is strangely unreliable for the majority of the time.. BUT YAY. Im so glad it made it!!!!! I can't wait to see all the magical digitalness come pouring out of your tableted paws now! It'll definitely take some awkward getting used to, but it's SUCH a great tool to have! Especially if you wanna just throw some quick digital color over your gorgeous sketches! You are absolutely more than welcome! You're a really awesome person, friend, artist.... and I am too much in love with tablets to accept the fact that you didn't have one! haha. AND THIS IS GREAT BTW, totally your style still, whew! We both look fab! I love those expressions ;u; AWWW yay, i'm so excited!!!! <3
I know, I know, but we must support our public servants ^u^" Otherwise, the service will get even shittier until we have to start recycling old Russian jokes.(Of which I have too large a repository. A woman goes to the butchershop and asks, "You wouldn't have any meat, would you?" "No, ma'am, I'm the fishmonger, I don't have any fish. You want the butcher there, he's the one who doesn't have any meat." (The connotation of the не in Вы не должны мясо? connotates "Do you have any meat?" while it literally means "You don't have meat?" It's hard to translate.)
It took an adjustment period to have at first, but I'm just glad to have it set up! Next step is to work on line width, so it doesn't have this ball-of-yarn look... But quick color is something I should totally try out!
....erm, ditto? Sheez, Serene, I can't possibly match your ellibulence... I'm kinda intrigued by, you remember like three months ago, when we joked about doing round-robins? Now we can just send the files to each other... I can feel your enthusiasm for the medium now, it's strangely growing on me!
And... (blushes hotter than ten thousand suns) Are you describing me or you there? 'Cause you're the fab one...
