I didn't like the upper right hand panel of the original image, so I went with the first idea I had for that panel which was to be a kind of Old Timey Photo (Though the sepia tone looked awful with the rest of the colors so I stayed with color)
Noji is dearly in love with his best friend Joshua, but they are only friends, as Joshua is married.
Noji is kind of happy to finally be back where he can spend time with his best friend again, but he otherwise doesn't like being back in all of the modern stuff, having grown used to living off the land with his family.
The first panel: All that I want - This is what Noji wants. He wants to be married to Joshua. He wants Hiro to not be around or at least, for him and Hiro to switch places.
The second panel: All that I have - The ring is because Joshua is married, Noji isn't. Joshua always tries to get Noji to take pictures with him. Noji just doesn't smile very often. Even when he's happy, it's not his fault, it's just slightly difficult because of the scars on his mouth, but it's also because he's just not a smilie person.
The third panel: And the reason I wouldn't trade it for anything - Noji accepts his role in Joshua's life. And while he would never say he was "in the friend zone", he would tell you that even if he could end up with Joshua and be married to him, he probably would rather things be the way they are now. Besides, he might not be married to Joshua, but he still gets to be with Joshua, and not to mention, who else is going to cuddle him when his husband is away?
