Lava Lamp Dragon History: These tiny dragons are relatively new in discovery yet have been around for quite some time. Evolving greatly from their ancestors, this strange species has done away with wings and instead took to the earth. They live in deep caves far below the surface using their natural glow to manage life in the depths. While they do not have the ability to breathe fire like their distant cousins, they do breathe out lava lamp like liquid said to be as hot as actual lava. This is used as defense (scalding enemies alive), courtship (brightly colored bubbles) and hatching young (immersing eggs in the liquid for heat and hatching). Each dragon represents one color yet mating between two may result in a mix of the colors (example: yellow + blue= green lld offspring). The dragons also exhibit a glass-like club on their tail. This holds the main life source of the dragon. It is nearly unbreakable as it can also be used as a weapon but in some cases, is possible. If the club is broken it results immediately in the dragons demise. These creatures are usually hunted for their fluids yet must be harvested within minutes of death as the color will be turned to a dismal grey upon rigamortis. They are sociable and very curious but approach with caution. Scientists observing them have been known to call them 'volcanoes with legs'.....
