A quick tinted charcoal drawing of a young Haze, making his first sword. As a custom in the imperial army, the young start their smithing training at the age of ten. It works together with all the other exercises, pretty much like classes in school. After five years, the young apprentice forges his own blade. At that time, the skill of shaping, quenching, tempering, polishing and fitting has been trained to a rather high level. All soldiers makes their own blades when they turn fifteen. It's almost like a rite of passage into the adulthood.
