Well as you've heard, we didn't get our independence...though I still believe we actually won the vote.
It was heartbreaking learning that the result was a no but now that I've wiped away the tears, I'm back on my feet, ready to keep this movement going. We will have our independence!

For those who don't know, Scotland will be voting for it's own independence in less than a week! It's something I believe in with all my heart and although I had decided ages ago I wasn't going to draw any art relating to this momentous event, I couldn't help the urge to express myself in the end hehe ^^"
So, this art is in no way political but more of an expression of what Independence means to me.
The future is uncertain but if we have the courage to take the leap forward, we can reach a better future for ourselves, our families and the generations still to come. Of course Independence won't be some 'fantasy world' where all our problems disappear. We will have challenges to face, but I believe we can better face those problems as an Independent nation.
Ok, political talk over. Even if you don't support independence or even care about this issue, I hope you at least enjoy the art

ah ,wow this is beautiful ,like the person has been searching in the dark for days or months and was losing hope and is suddenly struck with a lovely light and cooling breeze of fresh air that it startles the adventurer but it's a good feeling to finally have found that light after a long time in the shadows <3 I love how the st.andrews cross is showing in the sky ,I never noticed it straight away till I looked again and I have a love for long scroll type images.
I been following it also, and was hoping for independence also.
I am an American and know all the horrible stereotypes about me, but really, Scotland needs to decide what it wants and not care what anyone else says, as poll news showing support for no have comments saying how horrible Scotland is for not actually leaving, and ones showing yes support still have the same negative comments.
People are going to be pissed no matter what is chosen, so go for it ^^

The polls are saying it's 50/50 but polls are bs. I honestly feel it's gonna be a landslide victory for yes. I wish you could experience what is happening out on the Scottish streets. It's just incredible to behold. I've never seen anything like it in my life. I know in my heart if we get our independence it's gonna be amazing even despite all the scaremongering by the "Better Together" camp.
