Daaku Reji is an interesting combination of personality for a Golduck. The child of an Espeon father and a Golduck mother he's found himself blessed with a great level of psychic skill. Unfortunately he didn't find out about it until after his evolution and spent his youth trying to be a bully rather than honing what he had going for him. As a Psyduck he had issues with a horrible temper and wanted to beat on things rather than use his mind. Granted his horrible headaches all the time didn't help his temperament and didn't do much to persuade him otherwise. It was during one those episodes of headache and rage that he tried to punch a wall with a move he was learning and broke both of his hands, but also managed to bring the wall down on him and his best friend who was trying to stop him. Reji managed to pull himself and his friend out though he hasn't seen said friend since the incident.

After he'd spent some time recovering and being depressed his parents sent him to an old family friend to help try and pull him out of his depression as well as to hone his skills. At first Reji was reluctant to even do much more than talk out of fear of another relapse he eventually opened up to the old Grumpig and learned that he wasn't a bad person just because he had such a rage inside of him. After countless months of meditation and lots of training of his Psychic powers he eventually was able to walk back out into society and resumed living once again. Though more in control of himself Reji continued to act in a way that was fearful that he might go crazy again and hurt people as he assumed a forcefully humble attitude. His parents worried about him still and on advice from his Grumpig teacher, sent him to the PCA.

The PCA was hard for Reji at first as he didn't really know anyone there. Luckily for him his roommate Jonas King immediately took a liking to him and adopted him as a friend. Reji really wasn't sure just how to react to the shiny Irish Meowth who was constantly dragging him out to parties or trolling for women, especially since the Golduck wasn't interested in either of those pursuits. But Jonas persisted and soon Reji took a liking to the Meowth and backed him up where was needed. The two formed a battle duo and were fairly successful in their fights, though soon they decided they should expand into a full team. Reji found himself wildly successful in finding other members as the team quickly filled up and even gained two alternates who have so far all meshed very well with Reji and Jonas' personalities. The team voted Reji as the team captain, something he was reluctant to take on but knew he needed to for the sake of his team. This combined with having fallen hard for a lovely Vaporeon he'd met when she saved his life from drowning (Long story he won't be telling anytime soon) and is thankfully as shy about the whole relationship thing though so far things are going really well for them.

For now Reji works to try and better himself, keep his temper under check, do the best job he can for his team and grow in his relationship with his girlfriend. So far so good but he's not about to let himself get complacent and knows he's still got a long ways to go.
