Hehe, it's definitely a better set-up than a tv repair-guy entering a lonely housewive's house
Could you elaborate on the "plush-toy effect"? Sounds interesting, but I don't know exactly what it's about. Also, I feel safe to say that there is nothing 'straight' about my dragon But I guess I know what you mean. The top-down shot made me scratch my head a bit, but other than that his design feels rather flowing to me by now during drawing.

"Did somebody order a large sausage?" Straight porn is too predictable.
I mean... the characters look a bit puffy, like there's a seam in the skin and everything bulging out evenly; in the absence of strong texture, all the parts of the body are sort of the same puffy shape and it's hard to see the muscle and bone definition - making the muscle look like muscle and not segments of fat or fluff. (Tellingly, this is the very thing one of my artistic Disney idols, Marc Davis, complained about with "Lion King." "You can't see the muscles, they look like plush toys, not lions!" Maybe it's osmosis.)

"I did, so that my own one gets some company XD" That'd be a great reply in such a situation
I get now what you mean. Thanks for clarifying! The thing is of course that my style in this case is rather heavily influenced by TLK, since it's basically anthro-Kovu starring this little story, being a sub to a large gentle dragon-guy, which is again shameless wish-fulfillment for me
There would be the question if and how to alter TLK style in the way you describe it. I wouldn't know how from my current skill set, honestly, and I also haven't seen any examples of such an attempt by other artists so far that I liked. That Simba and Co look like plushies may be part of why they got into so many hearts, like mine, of course. Therefore I don't mind Marc Davis saying "that's not lions, that's typing" I still love them
