ok, intensify the contrast in her coloring on the spotlight version -- the highlights might be a bit bigger, but the shadows are really where things are going to be intense. She isn't lit up from behind too, so add more shading, making the deepest ones even darker than in the shading in the first one. This will create the illusion that she really is under a spotlight. Look at photos for some reference of this effect.
