OKAY, now that I'm not sleep-deprived, I can finally comment on this.
To put it shortly.
I. Loved. This. Piece.
Emil has always been that chill, down-to-Earth kind of person. He's never really been one to lose his cool, but that doesn't mean that decisions like this don't effect him. Nobody likes feeling left out...well almost nobody. But as good spirited as Emil's been, of course it would hurt to be one that's not called. It makes one feel...unwanted.
But with that said, there's also just the entirely possible misfortune that we just label "life." It's not always fair. Hell, more than half the time it's not fair, but what can we really do about it?
Now of course we have our guardian angel: Wilmer Grehr. He wants Emil to be apart of their family, but given the parameters, regulations, and restrictions that come with just about every possible association, you can't always have what you want. But he managed to get through to Emil when he was having one of the worst feelings in his entire life. I'd like to think that for a small moment, even though the told his family to shove off. I think that for a moment, a brief moment, Emil actually believed that his family might have been right. But then there's Kevin Malka. Kevin kind of has an "aura of kindness" about him. At that moment Emil realized that it wasn't just the draft. It was the fact that he had love here, he had friends, and so what if they didnt have a Ph.D, so what if they weren't rich. They were there, and they will always be there to pick Emil up when he falls.
Sorry for the long comment. It's just that I really like things like this. Emil had a moment of despair, and he bounced back from it. Good On ya Emil! And GREAT JOB Arti!

Thanks for the awesome comment first off.
William seems to the be the dad proxy for a lot of the members it seems. Guess he's just the kind of person who can tell when someone needs that kind of comfort.
This story was about Emil's confidence faltering for once, because all the confidence can't make thing go back and get him into the draft class, and of course his family were just waiting to see him fail because in their eyes, that what's this is. He's pursuing something so mundane, and always has, and is wasting his talents and name.
Emil's gonna be doing a lot more now, or at least I hope he will, so expect some more twists and turns in the future.
