Hi all! this is a wip of the new fox avatar being produced here at Raawr. Please note a few things:
1: Hair will be included
2: It will be the usual price of 900L
3: The tail is an animated and scripted mesh tail (not rigged this time)
4: The hands and feet are rigged for reducing seams. However cut feet, unrigged hands and feet will also be included.
5: Although I made a fox avatar very early in my ventures, this is not an update. It has been completely remade from the vertices up! I'm sorry about that, but this is a whole new ball game in terms of complexity and the time it took to make. Not even 1% of the original avatar was used.
6: There will be a limited edition a few weeks after this is released ^.^
Please feel free to ask any questions and add critique below - it's all very appreciated!

Love it, I definately will want to grab one once im able to.. also, you mentioned the handpaws and feet are rigged.. is the rest of the body mesh, or are those rigged to match with the LL avatar? (I have been digging/looking around a bit lately for a nearly-full rigged mesh avatar lately, and only seen three.. which im not really too interested in)
I really don't agree but thanks for your comment - you seem to have a problem with the fur each time (if I remember previous comments on other avs) I love the critique, but so far the fur style has been extremely popular since I changed a couple of avs ago. Sorry I won't change it back for one person. ^.^
I do believe you will most likely be able to make mods. :) if you don't like the fur texture by all means give it a shot in a style you prefer? Flowers avatars i think have there own unique look to them same as dsd kzk and all the other talented creators. Its great to have a difference of opinion but if you have commented on multiples expressing the same opinion not cool :L. Yaknow it can hurt someones feelings to continuously knock there talent. Not starting a fight here and wont respond to any bad comments. I'm just saying open your mind to the prospect that not everyone shares the same tastes ^_^
I don't shout it "IT SUCKS YOU'RE A HORRIBLE ARTIST" in my comments. I tried to put some something constructive but it seems to be overlooked.
I understand I can sound rude, but text can't show the emotions I have. I've been hurt and I want DSD and Raawr to see that I'm trying to reach out to help them--but my frustration might get the better of me.
You need to understand that some people voice their opinions even if it's hurtful. I've been disappointed again and again and wasted a fair amount of Linden on Raawr avatars, but I try and hope things would change.
Also, you need to keep your mind open to other who don't share your taste :) I'm expressing mine, and you're expressing yours. I'm fine with your comment but to tell me I'm being hurtful when I'm not trying to is hurtful to me.

If you can give me specific and acurate details on how to change this, - perhaps the way you would yourself, I will be very happy to listen. In light of the fact that you simply don't like fur, given your negative comments on my previous works and some other works of friends of mine I hesitate to offer this gesture of good will to you. However. I present you a challenge. If you critisice the work I'm all for it. If you criticise it time and again, then you need to show me. If you can produce something nice, that people like I will change it completely. I'm not saying that lightly. Give me an example

I'm retiring my dislike of how the legs are formed and how they don't accept "larger" shapes. It's a real shame but live is never fair.
I want to be able to open the boxed avatar, put it on, and be like "Wow, this is a great purchase! I'm so happy with it!"

I'm going to step in again here :) as an artist i have to say that giving advice to use the smudge tool to create a good fur look is very amateur. The smudge tool is a horrible tool to use for effective blending.
And nobody here is snapping at you what flower is saying so reasonable its crazy. Do you even know how long it takes to texture an avatar? And he is willing to change it if you can show you can do better. I checked his prior uploads and you have indeed commented more than once. So i stand by what i said about continued critique about the same thing. As for the way raawr model there paws im sorry if you cant fit them to your own avatar. But the way they are made is absolutely fantastic from a technical point of view and very clever indeed from a "getting shit to work right on secondlife because its run by morons (Linden labs)" I do understand that you don't like them but to say you have been hurt in the past. >.> Come on its a bloody avatar not a life changing experience you are kind of over reacting a bit there buddy. So to end my rant why dont you do as flower says and show him something better. paint some fur for him atleast showing him what you would prefer. I have no problems fighting my own battles trust me ;) Also if you think what i wrote sounds like im flipping out you need to learn to read. And yeah i saw your gallery. :) im an artist aswell i also do extures and i can 3d model but guess how many artists i leave multiple bitch comments on? have a guess :D none. And i see from your profile how much you take shit to heart so its probably a good idea not to try and wind me up xD jsyk :P And for the record you dont need to leave multiple comments expressing your opinion. How would you like it if someone did that to you? Going off of alot of what you write i would think you wouldnt like it much at all. Be nicer to people bud dosent hurt does it? So take whatever bug you have up your butt out and come to the fun side where we all are. Its bright here and sunny and we all have fun. :O

I'd love to see a Cross Fox, Marble fox, Sunglow fox, or a Platinum blue fox... All the beautiful natural mutations!
Don't be like other avatar creators that just take the lazy way out by hitting the "Colorize" button on the layers to make a quick buck!

Also... Those whiteish spots for the fur pattern? Could you make those longer and thinner strokes? Maybe slightly wavy?
They might be a little too short and stubby for a proper fur pattern especially on the tail where it's longer fur anyway. :x
Don't blend them in completely or get rid of them... They just look like...spots and not fur/hair sheen. I'm not sure if the
color of them effect how they 'blend' into the coat...but it looks like you're trying to give a sheen effect.

I think I need to address you both in this XD - please don't be dissilusioned to believe that 'recolours' are a case of changing saturation. It's a pet hate of mine actually because the actual work involved is more than most people would ever put up with. The other thing is that in changing the markings to specific genetic 'discrepencies' is at least another weeks work per coat. I understand the want for these things, but I need to be reasonable with my own workload too. I may make special coats, yes, but ultimately this kinda thing is up to the modders to do after-market. I'm not one to be generic, but I need to put sensible limits so the avatar will actually be released.
Trust me, Flower, I run Magican Productions. I've done special coats and just simple recolors. I enjoyed selling my rats with special coats over just the recolor of each template.
In understanding the workload, I know, trust me. If you feel up to tackling such a task, a few more weeks to release... I would not mind to wait a bit longer for it's release in hopes for more than just "Red fox, Red but PURPLE fox, Slightly standard orange fox," if you get my drift.

Modders don't have the texturing prowess as you do... As most avatar creators do. That's why the mods are so cheap.
If you wanna release a million red fox mutations, that's cool. But lots of us would wait those extra weeks for other mutations
if we knew they were coming. If /I/ knew you'll definitely put out a cross fox mutation or a sun glow... Or even marbled as a
Special edition later on down the line, I'd wait for it. It's been a while since you released any Special editions. *hint hint*
It is sort of a double edged sword, though. The market is flooded with red fox recolors, so any promise of a mutation might end
up with you not making ANY money off of the rainbow of red foxes you release.
It's your call, though. Such and such color shouldn't be "left to the modders of the community". Especially with the quality and attention
to detail that you put into the textures.
In fact... "Modders of the community" charge high dollar... 15k+ for a personal mod that they take their
time on (usually weeks) and the textures aren't even that great... The market for mods is dwindling...and some wonder why.
I'm willing to wait weeks and pay 1k for a /professional/ color of an avatar I want from the avatar creator themselves...even if it's
sold to everyone.
There's nothing really stopping you from making what you want, Flower. But the community has a voice, too...
