This picture makes me feel terribly conflicted on so many levels.

I am, as well. On one hand, I'm seeing a gigantic strawman; my own understanding of the MRAs are that they're more whiny than violent and aggressive, and that Agouti might be conflating the MRA movement with "RedPill" ideology (Full disclosure: I'm working off of how they represent themselves on Reddit, as well as their reputations).

On the other, I don't really have a dog in the supposed MRA vs. feminism fight, and would be rather unwilling to argue against any of Agouti's other watchers when they inevitably chime in to vehemently disagree with my dissent. I'm not necessarily disagreeing with any viewpoints (I identify as neither feminist nor MRA), I just think that Agouti's being rather unfair and antagonistic in his portrayal of the MRA. Not that he's obligated to be anything else, of course: I understand he's... A feminist, I guess, and some sort of comedy-person, so he isn't supposed to be "fair."

interesting perspective but I think it's a bit of a reach. Also in the wider context of how the show was designed and marketed, I think expecting equal male representation (both in population & hierarchies of competence) is slightly unreasonable and we are lucky to have the male characters we did have. Also in particular the article talks about how negative discord is, but he is extremely popular for a supporting cast member and has better powers than either of the princesses.

What's funny is, and I dunno where you live, but here in Alabama I see more women like that than you'd think. Not quite THAT extreme, but the whole "Men are pussies today, I want a traditional guy who brings in the money and I do the housework and cooking" thing.

You can certainly disagree with a lot of feminism without being an MRA, because I will not deny that there are certain brands of feminism that I don't agree with. This is mostly commenting on the strange phenomenom of women who adopt extreme anti-woman viewpoints for...well, it's not clear why,it often seems to be because they think of feminism as prudish and don't want to be seen that way.
