The variant of the BP-18. Just a longer, and longer ranged gun. Made more for support than anything else, the BP-22 can be used as a sidearm or a primary weapon. The two handled design is still prevalent, and the bullpup design has only been enhanced for better performance. The BP-22 can resist EMP attacks with it's new electronic systems. 90 percent of the weapon is still mechanical, upgraded from simple steel innards, to a combination of the former and diamond. It's the only Imperial assault rifle rated for space use, alongside the ship-board railgun, so its primary use is with capital ship security teams and boarding parties.
