Here's a design for Star Avenger's costume and a demonstation of her "nova ball" power.

I followed the instructions for the costume as best I can as well as add a few details here and there. For one thing, instead of just a field of stars I've decided to have three stars decorate the sleves (and perhaps the back) for a more streamlined look. Her gloves and boots also have a diamond stitch pattern and matching "belts". The material of the costume is acutally a thick vinyl covering "dragon skin" armor... with the armor itself exosed in her middle leotard, with a heat (plasma?) retardant covering overtop.

Oh yeah... and due to the retroness of her title card I've had fun turning this into the cover for a videogame! Because a superhero is not a superhero unless they have a GAME made about them! :D

Specificly an old "Afuri 2600" game... the game itself is crap but hey...
