There! :) Time to finally tell how my Eurofurence was! Took some time because school has started again, but today is a free day so, let's start writing! There are a lot of links for other photo's and video's hidden beneath, sorry if it's a bit messy. :$
First of all, I knew this EF would be a lot better than last year. If you went for your first time and felt like "this is it?" NO WORRIES =D next years always get better! I really felt that I now KNEW who I wanted to see! The friends from last year, and new people I've met online or at smaller meets, all of them were together again at this convention. Ofcourse then there's also the surprise of meeting the people you didn't expect to meet, but did ;)
Always still a hard part: People you're looking forward to see, are very busy and also have their own list of friends they love to see. Sadly there is no cure for that :P. and ofcourse, communication can go hard at these cons! WHERE DID THE INTERNET GOOO?
I really have to say: For a first time at the Estrel, I think it went quite well! I think the staff from Estrel welcomed us well and adapted well to our strange culture in hotels. Yes some things have to be solved next year, I'm sure next year problems will be solved! :) I sometimes asked to a staffmember how he thought about this fursuitevent, didn't hear any bad news! ^^
Inmate escape!
I bought a orange jumpsuit, and had sooo much fun with wearing it around and playing like an escapee xD, running away from everyone who had dresses itself as a cop or such. The best moment was when I saw another Dutchie

Dutch Fursuitersphoto
I wanted a Dutch fursuitersphoto! The endresult: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14379661/ Curious how many would show up, at the end I was happy with the result! :) Always surprising to discover people and fursuiters you didn't knew yet! Thanks for everyone who showed up.
I'm not planning to do another one next year. I just wanted a photo for now ^^ and as you can see, we aren't the smallest group! It will only get harder to collect everyone xD

This was MY event, I wanted to make this the best one of all the events! Why? First of all the people behind the scene are the best xD together you're sweating for your performance, dancing together when there's a good song, and support each other just for being here. We're not a tight group or something outside, but even behind the scene it's fun to enter the competition!
I wanted to improve myself, but also see that in results. There it went a little bit wrong for me:
I practiced sooo hard this year to be better, and improve myself from last year. I had my song ready even before 2014 started, and I had 95% of my choreo planned and was ready to go! but then.. SLIPPERY FLOOOOR!!
My feetpaws were soooo slippery on that floor, I was more struggling to keep standing on my feet instead of expending my choreo. Choreo couldn't be 100% because I was too busy standing. I was frustrated when the music stopped and I knew I didn't for fill what I wanted to perform.
That's why I became very sad and frustrated the hours after this event. Please understand: I DIDN'T WANT TO WIN. ;) But I discovered my "place" or "score" was the same as last year.. so I was sad that it seemed I didn't improve.
Luckily talks and words with other people (even judges!) made me support me that I DID improve, no proof in score, but certainly in mind and on video. So no worries, I feel much better now and proud again :) and I'm definitely going to dance more!
I want to thank all my friends who made this EF the best one yet <3 Most of them were with staff and had to work on their holiday! I really saw your hard work pay off into a great convention. You deserve hugs and backrubs =3 and next time, poke me if you need help! Otherwise I will register for a job :P

Jakester for still being my boyfriend after 22 months we've started ^_^ You worked hard this EF (again), but EF staff needs people like you! You and so much others work hard to make this EF happen for 2000 attendees!
