Completely atypical of my style--this came out from drawing his right eye and it developed itself. I don't normally sketch in pen from the get-go, but after seeing how fast I can get shit down on the page, I might start doing it more.

Pen-sketching is great for practice and often yields surprisingly expressive results. I often use a ball-point pen to do quick life sketches of people and animals when I'm out at the park drawing ... The lack of an eraser forces to to be bold and expressive and not get tied down in overworking fiddly details.
