I wanted some claws, but a lot of what's out there is too big for my tastes. Plus, I had all the supplies on hand to make my own. Here they are! They're not perfect; some are a little taller than the others. You can definitely tell that I sculpted each individually. The surface is nice and shiny on all of them, though. I played with casting glitter to make gold and silver claws. I didn't get good coverage with the gold glitter, so the yellow resin is really showing through. The silvers turned out great, though! The black batch suffers a little bit from surface bubbles, but I'm still happy with them. On average they are an inch long not counting the base. They have a stumpy, blunt profile.

Thanks, dude! I used Smooth-On's 325 urethane resin because it is easy to tint. Resins that cure pure white are difficult to tint dark blacks and reds. I gotta note here that this is the first time I've cast claws, and I've never worn handpaws with claws before. I haven't been unhappy with a Smooth-On product yet, though!
I own smooth-on tints and a bottle of this in black: http://www.douglasandsturgess.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=DAS&Category_Code=PIGMENTSDYES-DISPERSED-URETHANE (It's about half the price, and the store is within driving distance of my house) However, for the gold color I used smooth-on's cast magic powder in Goldfinger backed with yellow tinted resin. The silver claws had Silver Bullet powder backed with black resin. I love the shiny effect Cast Magic gives, but I fear that it will start wearing off on the tips of the claws.
As far as funky resin tint colors go, I recently learned about Monster Kolor. http://www.monsterkolorstore.com/resin-dye/ I've never used their products before, but it might be worth a shot if you are sick of mixing up custom colors. (I know I am!)
