Burst serves as a bruiser. He fights hard and can take hits, but he's a little slow and no good at ranged battle. Sammy's the Team Leader. He's also the strategist. In fights, he prefers to wear his opponents down before taking them down from afar. He's semi-decent at close combat, but prefers to avoid it. Rukey prefers close combat as well, having no real long-range attacks. He's very quick and calculating, specializing in using opponents' moves against them. Mighty-anne is an alternate. She is also somewhat the teams ace in the hole. Mighty-anne is a close-up fighter, vicious and nasty, and known for outright mauling her opponents. She can also hold her own in ranged battle and take amounts of damage that no-one on her team thought possible. Sorbet is a newer member, and has taken Mighty-anne's place as a full-time team member while she moved on into alternate status.

So far, it's been a learning experience for these five. Burst and Sammy were already fast friends. Rukey befriended Burst, and is now warming up to Sammy. Sammy is slightly creeped out by Rukey and Sorbet because he thinks they're gay, but he likes Mighty-anne...mostly because she can keep her mouth shut. Mighty-anne is cold and distant to everyone but Rukey, who reminds her of her fiance, however, she obeys Sammy without the slightest bit of question. She dislikes Sorbet because he's not the best team player. Sorbet thinks Burst is a meathead, he's nervous of Rukey because he doesn't do well with fighting types, and as for him and Sammy...it's best to say that the two just don't get along.

The names above them are titles Mighty-anne has given them.

Ch'yena could be translated to 'twerp' or 'brat.' It is used for children and implies bad behavior or stupidity.

Gurara literally means 'a male who would hunt with the females.' In Mighty-anne's tribe gender roles are reversed, so it would be translated something like 'butch.'

Churr is a praise word. It could be translated to "Good boy."

Yaera is literally 'one who refuses to run with the pack.' It could be translated to 'outcast,' or more commonly, 'bastard.'
